Pregnancy comes with its fair share of symptoms, but I think one of the worst is restless leg syndrome. The super uncontrollable anxious feeling in your legs that you just can’t sit still. Keep reading to find out what this magic cure is on how I got rid of my restless leg during pregnancy.
The Typical Treatments
The most common treatments that are recommended for restless leg are :
- ivory soap in your bed
- magnesium oil and/or supplements
- essential oils
- epsom salt baths
I tried all on the list except the soap and let me just tell you, it was hit or miss. One night it would be somewhat better then the next night with the same routine, it wouldn’t work. So, some of these might work for some and give you the relief you need, but for me, it wasn’t consistent and I needed more. I was doing some research for yet another pregnancy related issue when I came across info that I had completely forgotten about that mentioned would help restless leg also! You ready to find out what it is? Lean in sista!..

It is also rich in iron, vitamin A, and magnesium. This just touches the surface of the benefits celery juice can have. Medical Medium by Anthony William shares so much more info on the healing power of celery juice. I started implementing his protocols right before I got pregnant and I truly believe it was a contributing factor to me getting pregnant after 10 months of trying. How does strengthening the hydrochloric acid in your gut to allowing your body to break down food better? Or what about cleansing the thyroid of virus and toxins? He shares insight on that and much much more in his books. Here’s his book specific to Thyroid Healing . I can’t recommend these books enough! Super life changing information.
Back to the juice. From reading that its full of magnesium and helps with calming the nerves and helping with insomnia, it’s no wonder that it has been helpful at easing my restless leg. I noticed a difference in the first night, seriously! And overall, I have had a much more restful sleep as well. So here’s the low down on juicing. Its recommended in the am on an empty stomach, but for me personally, I juice it about 2 hours after breakfast. Aim for 16 ounces ( I’m currently only at 10 ) and trim the leaves off as they leave more of a bitter taste. As far as the taste, its not amazing, haha. It DOES actually get much better the more you drink it and some even start to crave it. For me, its so worth it knowing I can have a decent nights of rest. If only I had come to this realization much sooner in my pregnancy!!
