I’m coming up on the anniversary of my explant date and I like to spread the word and give the warning signs to help educate others. Expant date? Yes, I had my implants removed because they were making me sick. My ten year old saline implants all of a sudden started giving me sharp pains in my breast and it didn’t take me long to know in my gut that they needed to be taken out.
Fortunately, a few years prior I had already come across some info on breast implant illness and the symptoms that they can cause in your body. You can find some info here https://healingbreastimplantillness.com/. I’m sure now there are many other websites that contain information as this awareness has grown TREMENDOUSLY over that last few years. More and more are being educated and woken up to the idea that their health problems are primarily caused by these toxic bags that leach out chemicals throughout the entire body from the body’s natural temperature heating them up or actual leakage. For me, my saline implants had faulty valves that allowed fluid to enter and leave the implant causing mold and infections. The silicone outer shell had traveled to my lymph nodes in my armpits, resulting in one really rock hard lymph node that had to be removed. The others were able to be detoxed safely.
Here’s a list of all the possible symptoms you can have from having implants
Also please know that your implants can be perfect and pristine and STILL cause health problems. I just had a double whammy with the symptoms plus faulty implants.
So how is my life post explant??
Wonderful. Healing is a journey and can take time to to rid the body of all the bad stuff then repair mode can take place. Physically, I can tell a huge difference in my autoimmune issues, my skin, the inflammation in my body, and my overall well being. You know one symptom they gave me was really bad muscle weakness in my arms. To even wash my hair was a challenge! No more! That was the first symptom that vanished. Emotionally, not having bigger boobs, hasn’t changed a bit on how I view myself. Over the years I have grown to love me for me and not use my boob size as a measurement of my beauty. Its a very freeing feeling to love yourself in this way. Because lets face it, I or ” us women” get implants predominately because we don’t like the way we look and want to feel better about ourselves. I’m here to tell you…. GIRL you don’t even need them! The way you see yourself is an inside job.
